  • Practicum, capstone, and independent study and volunteer opportunities:

Are you interested in working for a small non-profit organization that focuses on projects related to public health and the built environment like housing and transportation? Looking to learn some new skills that are applicable to your studies, as well as make an impact on important health issues in Colorado and across the U.S?

If yes, consider being an intern with Safe and Healthy Communities (SHC) for a semester and possibly beyond. Come share your public health knowledge and skills to help with projects focused on housing, transportation, the environment, and urban planning! SHC has helped many graduate students gain work experience, complete their capstone projects, practicum requirements, and independent studies. SHC ensures equity in all our work to create communities that are safe and healthy particularly for those traditionally underserved and vulnerable populations such as people of color, children and older adults.

Please reach out to Dr. Karen Roof about available practicum, capstone, and independent study and other internship opportunities.
